I previously had a security setup with motion sensors and a few indoor cameras. One evening, while my wife and I were out for dinner, I got a call asking if I could confirm activity inside my home because my back door motion sensor was triggered. My heart was racing. What do you mean confirm activity inside my house? I’m not even home! I checked my cameras but saw nothing unusual. In a panic, I called my neighbor, Dave, to take a look. Luckily, he was home. Turns out, it was just our dog, Teddie—who, honestly, would probably sell us out for a game of fetch.
Installation & Setup
The installation process was straightforward, and everything was set up through the app. The app provides tons of information, and I highly recommend reading through the prompts to fully understand how it works. Also, test your system! Camera placement is crucial—my wife and I spent about 15 minutes per camera adjusting them for optimal wake-up speed.
Security Features That Stand Out
One of the coolest features is the AI deterrent, which triggers an automated response when a person is detected. You can even schedule when this feature is active. Pro tip: Adjust the volume! We originally set it to “loud,” and my wife nearly had a heart attack every time it went off during deliveries. Good times.
Another key feature is Privacy Mode, which gives you complete control over when events are sent to the security guards. You can enable this manually or schedule it. The guards did pause my system for about 10 minutes once because my kids were playing basketball in the driveway.
App Performance & Overall Experience
The app is intuitive, easy to navigate, and lets you review live feeds instantly. Plus, you get a tutorial when you first sign up. Overall, no other system offers what this one does. I know it sounds repetitive, but like so many other Deep Sentinel Reviews, I can confidently say this system provides peace of mind like no other. Super happy with my purchase!
